Robby could run Indy 500 in 2007: #7-Robby Gordon could attempt to race in the Indianapolis 500 again next year after skipping the race in 2006. Gordon has raced in the showpiece event and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 on the same day in the past, and his interest has been renewed by the level playing field in the IndyCar Series at present. "I have been offered a lot of rides for Indy," said Gordon. "Next year the race could be the most competitive it's ever been and that would be fun. Looking at the package for the Indy 500, every team will have the same tools to work with one engine manufacturer and one tyre supplier." Gordon has raced at Indianapolis and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte on the same day in the past, but he insists that he would only attempt the double if his Nextel Cup program is going well. "I would rather wait until the first six Cup races next year so we can say 'are we sitting 15th in points? Have we the improvements we think we are going to make with our program? It's better to wait rather than just say we are going to do it now."(Autosport.com)(11-29-2006)
