Canaan Fair Motorsports Complex Awards Banquet

October 25, 2006 – (Naples, ME) PASS Racing, Inc and New England Race Track Investors, LLC announced today that there will be an Awards Banquet for the 2006 Canaan Fair Motorsports Complex competitors. Given all that has happened at the speedway  recently and the way the season was abruptly ended for all of us, it was decided that it was in the best interest of the competitors and the 2006 speedway management to end the season on a positive note.

The banquet will take place at the Canaan Fair Hall on the speedway grounds on Friday November 10, 2006. Happy Hour will be at 5:30, dinner at 6:30, and the awards presentation will start at 7:30. Music and dancing will follow (BYOB).

According to the Canaan Fair Motorsports Complex procedures, if you ran 75% of the races in your division and you finished in the top ten in points, you are eligible to receive point fund money and a trophy. You must meet both criteria and be present at the banquet to receive your trophy and point fund money.

Tickets are $30.00 per person. To order tickets by credit card call Michelle at 207-780-8147 or by e-mail at minib29@aol.com and she will call you back. Do not include any credit card info in your e-mail. Canaan Celebrates Winners at Banquet

November 13, 2006 (Naples, ME) Although the Canaan Fair Motorsports Complex season came to an abrupt end at the beginning of September owing to the premature end of the lease, the 2006 management team thought that the competitors who supported the asphalt track in 2006 should be recognized.

Almost 150 people came to collect their trophies and checks, share in a great buffet by Chappy, and listen to some tunes and dance to the music provided by DJ Gary Sullivan (who was also the champion of the Pure Stock Division).

Scott Reed, the Master of Ceremonies for the evening, thanked everyone for their efforts during the 2006 season, including Les and Karen Baab, Rick and Tammie (Tech and scoring), Ernie and Kathy (VIP Booth), Amanda (50-50), the wrecker crew, Mansurs track crew, the Wentworth Ambulance Service, Canaan Police Department, the Canaan Fire Department, and all the competitors who made 2006 possible.

Scott also recognized Chick and Sandy Henry for all they are doing to improve the facility for 2007 and beyond. Chick said that they should have news in a week or two on what will be happening in 2007 on both the asphalt and dirt tracks.

Then it was time for the champions. Donnie Lashua took home the champion’s trophy and check for the Outlaw Late Models as the best of the 26 racers who competed in the Outlaw Late Models 2006, followed by Jimmy Renfrew, Walt Hammond, Bobby Allen, Chris Curtis, Kevin Bolduc, Brian Henry, and Rob French.

In the Super Sportsman, it was George Baldwin adding to his trophy case with the champion’s trophy and check, followed by Chris Curtis, Jay Coulter, Ricky Bly, Howard Sullivan, Chick Henry, and Cory Roberts.

Chris Lyman was the top dog in the Mini Stocks, followed by Travis Compo, Trever Perrault, Meeghan Tarbell, Josh Compo, Jim Carley, Shawn Brown, and Andy Torres.

In the Pure Stocks, it was Gary Sullivan taking home the big trophy. Rob Thurston was second, followed by Keith Walton and Joey Jarvis. And Kody Wright took home all the hardware in the Outlaw Mini Stocks.
