Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Quite a bit of scuttle butt coming out of the pit area at the Big T about the pole winning time of Mike Andrews Jr possibly being an error. But anyhow here is the full starting lineup after the redraw, courtesy of Thompson Speedway.com just follow the link:
What a awesome race yesterday i think the cold track conditions, it being the last race of the season for some, contributed to some of the "aggressive" driving. To bad the whole championship deal didnt go down to the last lap because Flemke had his troubles. Congrats to Tony Hirschman and team on the title. How about Coby in the #77 look pretty stout in that car. And probably the coolest thing to me the tours influx of young talent, 4th Zach Sylvester, 5th Ken Barry, 6th Bobby Santos III, 7TH Doug Coby, 8th (i know he is not a youngster but he is new to the tour) Jeff Malave, 10th Justin Gaydosh. With Whelen coming on board as well i think the tour will be thriving for years to come.

Makinglaps.com would like to once again congratulate the championship team of Tony Hirschman, and all the competitors on there seasons acomplishments, and have a great time at the banquet, and good luck in 2005.
News out of the the series banquet: The 2005 schedule has been announced with one TBA on it reported to be Myrtle Beach Speedway. The official Whelen logo of the new Whelen Modified "Tour" has been released, the division will be called a tour once again.
Chuck Hossfeld will be the new driver of the Don Barker owned # 50. A 3 year sponsorship deal is "expected to be released soon".
Makinglaps.com has recieved word that driver Jeff Malave, will be fielding a two car team at the upcoming events at New Smyrna. Malave will be bringing a two car effort to the action as he will compete with his own "Tour Type" Modified, and Thompson Sunoco Modified driver Stash Butova, will be in Jeff's SK Modified.
Well, it seems we sparked some interest by a previous post, as our sources have thrown together a list of drivers, who as of now are "rumored" to be heading to New Smyrna in a few short weeks.
Here are some of the drivers that are "rumored" to be making the trip to Florida:
Ted Christopher in Bear's #14
Donny Lia
Eric Beers
Jamie Tomaino
Charlie Pasteryak
Ed Flemke Jr
Zach Sylvester
and interestingly enough, Chris Jones as an SK car
We will post more info as it becomes available, and by all means if anyone has knowledge of a driver or team heading to New Smyrna, go right ahead and post it.
Just some info for all competitors. Nascar has banned the use of the Hutchens device as a head and neck restraint, and the Hans device only is approved for 2005. For the full story go to the thread on this specific topic on the message board.
Just a reminder, this is now the 2004 archived WMT page. For current info, go to the top and click on Makinglaps.com forum for the 2005 new and improved board.
