Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Bill Davis Racing has secured its Nextel Cup future with Toyota as manufacturer and Jeremy Mayfield and Dave Blaney as drivers, and now the team is working on fielding a car in the NASCAR Busch Series. Davis said Friday he'd like to field two cars in Busch but is currently in discussions with a sponsor for one Camry in 2007. Who would drive the car is unclear, depending on what the potential sponsor wants. Davis said Mayfield and Blaney could split time in a car, or the two could share a seat with a younger driver. Davis stopped fielding Busch cars in 2004 but has 11 victories as an owner, the last in 2003 with Scott Wimmer. Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon also won in Davis' Busch cars. (Scene Daily) (08-25-06)
