NASCAR confiscates Sauter's shocks

NASCAR confiscated the front shocks on Tim Sauter's No. 36 Chevrolet after Saturday night's Busch Silver Celebration 250 at Gateway International Raceway. NASCAR spokesperson Tracey Judd said the shocks will be "evulauted further" at NASCAR's research and development center in Concord, N.C. Sauter's McGill Motorsports Chevrolet was one of the random cars NASCAR picked to be inspected after the race. Sauter finished 22nd. Any penalties would be announced early this week.(Scene Daily) (07-30-06)

Seems to me another NASCAR team had funky shocks last year and they were deemed inovative and not fined, but no one else could do that same modification following the discovery. So if it is a different modification why aren't these guys inovators also? 


Oh that's right, I just remembered who the other team was, my bad.
