Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
As we all know NASCAR will be dropping their Elite Divisions in 2007. AutoZone is the title sponsor of these four divisions. So I have come up with a way for the company to continue gaining exposure with NASCAR on the Regional Racing level.
First off, the Whelen and Whelen Southern Modified Tours should both have a Half-way Leader Bonus. I think $1,500 for leading the race at half-way would add a bit more excitement. This award would give AutoZone quite a bit of exposure that they would otherwise lose in 2007, and bring a Nationally recognized company to the Tours.
Secondly, Autzone could sponsor a Secondary Purse for the cars who do not qualify at any event. Offer a guaranteed $500 to every car that signs in. The money would ONLY go to cars who fail to qualify. This award could help lure Southern cars to Northern events, or Northern cars to Southern events. And once again it would gain exposure for Autozone that they would otherwise lose in 2007.
These are just my crazy thoughts, but I feel they are pretty good ones. -WMT-.
