This driver is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records for most single season wins, in any division.

Can you name the driver, and the number of wins ?

You got it half right Scott. It is Geoff Bodine (or Geoffrey now), but it was not 78 wins.

I would bet that Dick Trickle has a pile if he susposedly has over 1200 wins.

I just saw where he ran Cup for like 21 years of something like that and I never realized he was in it for that long. He is going to run some champoinship race coming up at Slinger Speedway in WI and they were discussing his fan club touts 1200 wins but they don't have to specifics to back it up. But I remember him in ASA and they said back then he had over 1000. That is a ton of races entered to win that many. Man, I'd like to have the money he spent on enterance money over the years, lol.

Spd, I could be wrong but I think it was ASA for 21 years not Cup.

I agree with you on the ASA thing, I was shocked when I read it but I could have miss read. I'll see if I can find the story again.

Couldn't find it but Kenseth won the Miller Nationals (third time) at Slinger Tuesday night and Trickle crashed in the closing laps and finished 13th.
