Co-owner of Kentucky Speedway Dies: The Tennessee man who helped bring the Kentucky Speedway to life has died. John Lindahl passed away in Nashville on Wednesday. He was 83. Lindahl was the retired chairman of State Industries Incorporated in Ashland City, the largest water heater manufacturer in the country. He joined a group that included Jerry Carroll and Outback Steakhouse in locating the one-point-five mile tri-oval track to Sparta in northern Kentucky.(FoxSports.com)(7-7-2006)
