Kyle Busch was the winner at IRP on Saturday night. Johnny Sauter was 2nd for the second night in a row, after finishing second on Friday night in the Craftsman Truck Series Race. Points leader Martin Truex Jr. finished a solid 4th, after overcoming a penalty for jumping the restart. Popular opinion seems to agree with Nascar's call. Any comments, observations, or opinions? Let em' fly race fans!
"Baby Brother" Kyle holds off Mark Martin at Michigan International Speedway by taking the Hendrick #5 Chevrolet into victory lane. He is really showing that it's no fluke, he is a talented kid in his own right. Point leader and native New Jersey native Martin Truex Jr. finshed third.

It was announced today that Bobby Hamilton Jr., was released from the Marines #25 Busch car of Team Rensi, and Jeff Green will wheel the car immediately beginning at the bullring of Bristol. PR reports had already given Hamilton Jr. the NNC #32 Tide sponsored ride for 2005, replacing Ricky Craven. No word yet as to where Bobby will be going for the remainder of the BGN season. It would be no surprise to see him make some more starts in the Cup Series before the end of the year.

DALE EARNHARDT JR IS THE POLE SITTER FOR FRIDAY EVENINGS SERIES RACE
MIKE MCLAUGHLIN WILL PILOT THE MARINES #25 AT THE BRISTOL EVENT. IT HAD BEEN REPORTED THAT JEFF GREEN WOULD TAKE OVER THE RIDE STARTING AT BRISTOL REPLACING THE DEPARTED BOBBY HAMILTON JR. BUT UNSPECIFIED CONTRACT PROBLEMS ARE FOR NOW PREVENTING GREEN FROM TAKING OVER THE RIDE.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., in a very popular win, takes the BGN victory in a green, white, checker finish. Matt Kenseth, (who appeared to think he may have been able to take Jr., if it hadn't been for the restart), comes in a close second. Point leader Matin Truex was not happy at all with Greg Biffle, who caused a wreck that injured Martin Truex's top 5 running car. Lots of cautions, 13 in fact, for a total of 87 laps. Follow the link below for the unofficial results from tonight's Busch action.

Robby Gordon got his first win in a Busch Series race tonight in Richmond Virginia, in the Fruit of the Loom #55 car. The Emerson Radio 250 win seemed to be going home with Casey Atwood, despite not changing tires for over half the race. With 15 laps to go, Gordon passed Casey for the win, but Atwood soldiered on to keep the runner-up spot. Point leader and Northeast favorite, Martin Truex Jr., finished in the respectable third spot. Great Busch race tonight, really looking forward to the "fight for the cut for the chase for the cup".......whew!

Kasey Kahne, Nextel Cup Rookie sensation, took the Busch Pole today at Dover with the fastest time. For the complete starting lineup, follow the link below:
It was a local flavored 1-2 sweep of the top two spots as Martin Truex Jr won todays Bgn race at Dover with Mike Mclaughlin coming home second. For the full finishing order follow the link below.
HAAS CNC has announced, that Hendrick Motorsports developmental driver Blake Feese will drive the #00 at Kansas this weekend. The teams regular driver Jason Leffler, according to team sources is still under contract but is being "REMOVED" from the car for this weekends event to evaluate the team. Rumors have Leffler going to the third Joe Gibbs Nextel Cup team in 05. JGR is scheduled to make an announcement on the status of the third team for next season at Lowes Motor Speedway in two weeks.
Paul Menard, DEI stable mate to Martin Truex Jr has won the pole for Saturdays BGN series race at Kansas. For the complete starting lineup follow the link below.
Richard Childress Racing announced today, that there part time driver Clint Bowyer will be the full time driver of the AC DELCO #2 next season, replacing departing driver Ron Hornaday.
Driver Jason Leffler, attempted to place a "restraining order" to prevent driver Blake Feese from drivivng the Haas Cnc #00 car at Kansas this weekend. A judge denied the attempt. As stated in an earlier post, Haas Cnc "removed" Leffler from the #00 for this weekends event to "evaluate" the team.
It was a wild finish to the MR GOODCENTS 300 Busch series race at the Kansas Speedway. Tony Stewart in the DEI #81, look to be on his way to his first ever BGN win. But contact with Joe Nemecheck while racing for the lead with less than 5 laps to go sent Stewart into the wall and out of the race. Nemecheck then beat Greg Biffle by inches for the victory in a green white checker finish. For the complete finishing order follow the link below.
Well, it looks like Tony Stewart is at it again. For anyone that missed it, here is a replay of the events: In Saturday's Busch series race at the Kansas Speedway Tony and Mike Bliss had some extracirricular activities under caution, with Bliss hitting the back of Stewart's car and Tony swerving at him in retaliation. So whats the big deal you ask? It's Tony Stewart, he is always stiring things up right? Bliss drives for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Busch series, Stewart drives for Gibbs in the Nextel Cup Series and apparently after the race, inside a Joe Gibbs Racing hauler words were exchanged and a shoving match ensued. Now according to Nascar they are "investigating" but dont forsee much coming out of this because they are considering this basically a "family spat" and because it had taken place in a BGN event it wouldnt effect his "Cup eligibility". Now Openwheelracer is also known for "stiring" things up, so here goes. Remember Kevin Harvick and his actions in a Truck Series race at Martinsville getting him sat out of the Cup race the next day, and Jimmy Spencers now famous punching of Kurt Busch getting him suspended from all three Nascar events (which he had rides in Truck, Busch, and Cup that weekend) at Bristol the following week. Now is this a case of "kick it" under the rug by Nascar, because we have already probably shot ourselves in the foot with the whole Dale Jr thing, and messed up our Chase for the CUP by taking points from Jr and we dont want to do it to Stewart as well? Feel free to comment race fans, tell me if im right on, or give it a rest and let the "boys play"!
Mike Bliss won one for the Busch Series regulars, as he was victorious at the Lowes Motor Speedway. For the full finishing order follow the link below.
New Jerseys own Martin Truex Jr, will start from the pole for Saturdays BGN series race. Also of interest, former Nextel Cup star Bill Elliott will start 2nd in the Tommy Baldwin Jr owned #6. For the complete starting lineup follow the link below:

Fitz Bradshaw Racing has announced, that driver David Stremme will drive the Navy #14 car for the remainder of the 04 season and beyond. No word on Stremme's former ride the Braun Racing #32 cars future plans.
The mystery of who will be the new driver of the Braun Racing #32 has ended, as Craftsman Truck Series driver, and former BGN competitor Shane Hmeil will drive the #32 for the remainder of 04 and beyond.
Nextel Cup regular Matt Kenseth won todays Aaron's 312 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. For the complete finishing order follow the link below: A side note: Kenseth also won todays Crown Royal Iroc Series event at Atlanta. And by doing so clinched the series title.

Jeremy Mayfield will run 17 events with sponsorship from Miller High Life, Jamie Mcmurray will also run 17 races with sponsorship from Top Flite Golf equipment, and Wallace will compete in one event the Mexico City race.
"Buschwacker" Nextel Cup driver Jamie Mcmurray won todays Busch series race at the Phoenix Raceway. For the complete finishing order follow the link below:
