Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Ok some hint's. Both drivers are still active in Cup. One driver won the open and then went on to win the Challenge, and one driver has won the open 4 times in his career.
Michael Waltrip and Sterling Marlin both have done it, while when Michael Waltrip won the Winston, he did not win the Open, he finished 4th while Jimmy Spencer won it in 1996.
You got it Ben! Michael Waltrip in 1991 and 1992, and Sterling Marlin in 1988 and 1989 were the drivers that have won the open back to back. My bad on the saying that one of the drivers won the open, then the all star race. Sorry for causing anyone confusion in trying to find the answers on this one.
