Canaan Falls To Rain

Naples, ME – May 12, 2006) With the evil forecast of 100% chance of heavy rain Friday night and all day Saturday and to save the teams some money with the high cost of getting to the track, the Canaan Fair Motorsports Complex management has decided to cancel tomorrow night’s show on the awesome asphalt at Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan, NH.

We also want to thank all the teams for their patience last week as we waited through the rain delays, and a happy Mother’s Day to all the moms.

We will see you all next weekend for the May 20th and 21st Doubleheader Weekend. On Saturday night May 20th at 7pm it’s “Turn Back the Clock Night,” with a $5.00 Adult General Admission, featuring the first visit of 2006 of the TAT Link-Belt PASS Modifieds, plus the KIXX 100.5 Super Sportsman, Outlaw Minis, Pure Stocks, Mini Stocks, and the Kid’s Bandits. Juniors age 12 to 16 are $3.00, kids six to 11 are $2.00, and five and under are FREE.

All adults ticket holders on Saturday night will receive $3.00 OFF discount coupons to the Sunday afternoon May 21st at 2pm PASS Outlaw Late Model 100. This is the first race of the Central Division Series, and we expect a big field of entries from NH, ME, MA, CT, and VT to challenge the local hotshoes. In addition to the 100 green-flag laps of Outlaw Action, fans will see the Super Sportsman, Outlaw Minis, Pure Stocks, Mini Stocks, and the Kid’s Bandits. Adults are $15 - $12 with the coupon from the night before – Juniors 12 to 16 are $10, kids six to 11 are $5.00, and five and under are FREE.

And the discount coupons from Saturday night are also good for the May 27th at 6pm visit of the PASS Super Late Model Series with Cassius Clark, Ben Rowe, Mike Rowe, Scott Chubbuck, Travis Benjamin, Richie Dearborn, and a host of others in the fastest full-fendered cars in the northeast in 150 green-flag laps of action in their only visit to Canaan this year.
