Wyoming County (NY) International Speedway SST Modifieds continue to grow

Here is more from the tracks website.

ST Modifieds Get Bigger at the BullRing.

Perry, NY: The SST Modified Division at Wyoming County International Speedway continues to grow for 2006. The Super Short Track Racing Series (SST) was created to bring uniformity to the sportsman modified of the northeast. Utilizing similar rules and regulations and common tour point system the many tracks of the region are benefiting by the renewed interest of asphalt oval racing.

As a grass roots operation, the old Perry Speedway has received a face lift and a freshly developed outlook on network marketing. This combination of positive attributes works hand-in-hand with the new teams entering the division.

The competition level, however, is far from being grass roots or inexperienced, as the roster of some of the most competitive teams continues to migrate into the series. Teams are developing from upper-level divisions such as the ROC series and growing up from the super stock division of local tracks.

WCIS management estimates an increase in the 2005 roster to be as many as 20 teams, bringing the overall 2006 SST Modified WCIS roster to more than 50 participants. With the roster growing to this extent, fans should be able to view a strong field regularly on Sunday afternoon at the Perry BullRing (WCIS).
