Wall NJ Turkey Derby trivia

In the early 90's at the running of the then Wall Stadium's annual Turkey Derby event, during the Tour Type Mod main event, Tony Ferante after contact with another car, was sent right thru the wooden guardrail in turn 1 and into the woods. A section of the wooden guardrail was totally gone, and there were normally wooden planks kept stacked in the infield to replace the one's that were broken but because of the amount of incidents that day they were all out.

Where did the track crew get another wooden plank to fix the wall so they could continue racing? Now some of you on the board were with me that day, and some of you have heard me babble about this story after a few to many cold ones, so......

You got it Ragoo! They actually came in the stands, went to the very bottom row of the main grandstand in turn 1 to an area where nobody was sitting, (Would have been too funny if they had to shoo people out of their seats, I probably have a version of the story that includes that just like a fishin story the more beer you drink the bigger the fish was) and tore out a couple bleacher planks and nailed them in place to patch the broken section of wall and went back racing. And just when I had thought I had seen it all!
