There are rumors that the winning sk 81 of Earl Paules had a quartermaster clutch and has been ascessed a 50 pound weight penalty. Billy Anderson had clutch problems and 5 inches of stagger did not help. Jimmy Blewett reported that they missed the setup on the SK along with a fluttering carb. Kenny Horton put on a great side by side battle with Paules for the lead for many laps. John Jensen was back on track and running well in the 91. Everyone is taking bets on how long the Bear TC pairing will last. No one gives it the whole eight nights. Jimmy Blewett reacted to Ted Christopher's criticism on Speed 51 by saying he wonders how TC would compete with a broken jaw! As they said in midevil times, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
