Sk's to be able to compete with TVMRS?

A RUMOR I have heard, is that the Speedbowl Sk drivers will be able to compete with the True Value Modified Racing Series when they visit the track. It will be interesting to see how many bowl regulars try to make the race.

According to the press release by the TVRMS they are welcoming SK teams to run with them. I dont know how feasible it would be to run the same car in both races that night, but I do know that there are some teams that are interested in bringing another car to run the race. Sure the sk guys would be at a disadvantage with thel ow hp motor but that shouldnt matter as much at the Bowl. Just another thing to wait snd see about i guess.

Well at 2:30 today, Wednesday February 8th, I spoke DIRECTLY by phone with TVMRS founder Jack Bateman. this is what he says about the SK Modifieds competing with the TVMRS.

"The SK Modifieds are invited to compete at Waterford and Thompson, or at any TVMRS event for that matter. Providing that they can meet all of the TVMRS inspection qualifications."

So yes the SK's can run, but they must conform to the TVMRS rules. this comes directly from the man himself, so is NOT just a rumor. Was also yold that at Thompson, Whelen Tour drivers who fail to qualify for their event WOULD be allowed to attempt to qualify for the TVMRS race.
