Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Back in 1974 a Indy car team had there car on display at Thompson. The name of the car was the Norton Spirit. One lucky Modified driver got a chance to take this car out and run some hot laps, Who was this driver? Name the car owner, and the modified driver.(bonus) name the Indy driver. GOOD LUCK.
Well Rich, I'm gonna be honest right up front and tell you I looked up part of this, The Indy driver was either Gary Benttenhausen or Mike Hiss, the Indy car owner was Roger Penske but, the lucky Modified driver part I'm going with a guess based on story's I have heard was it maybe, Gene Bergin?
Wheels, It was AUGUST of 1974 that the car was at Thompson. The owner was Roger Penske, The Indy driver was infact Mike Hiss, Good Job. The lucky mod shoe, the way i was told was Leo (the lion) Cleary. They said his head stuck up way over the top of the car. Leo's like what seven feet tall. My trivia seems to be hanging around a little longer so that cool, I'll have more soon. Good-Job. Richie
