Donald "Wimpy" Kinney

I have the unfortunate task of letting everyone know that Donald "Whimpy" Kinney passed away on 01/02/06 around 8 am. "Whimpy" owned the % that was driven to many victories at Plainville Stadium by Stash Gregor and was a great help and mentor for Billy Anderson, amongst many others. Details of the wake have not been finalized as I write this so please pay attention to the local papers around Southington, Ct. for details.I would like to give my condolences to family and friends. You will be missed by many.

Thank you Anon for posting this sad news. Myself and Making Laps would like to send our condolences to Wimpy's family, and his many many racing freinds. I was fortunate enough to have known Wimpy threw his involvement with Billy Anderson, and also drivers Frank Ruocco, and John Bergenty. What I'll remember most about him was he always had a good story about the old days, and had an excellent ear for a motor, being able to diagnois a problem with just a quick listen. We'll all miss you Wimpy, RIP.....
