Apparently , Jamie Tomaino will be leaving his native New Jersey for North Carolina in 2006. It is also being speculated , that Tomaino will compete on the NASCAR Whelen Southen Modified Tour .
If this is true it would bring a former National champion , and a whole lot of exposure , to the second year Tour . Jamies son , Jamie Jr. , had made a few starts in his fathers second car in 2005. Could this make him another regular competitor on the Southern Tour .

Just a rumor that I had seen posted . but I personally do believe it . jamie is not getting any younger , and perhaps is thinking of easing out of the Modified wars .

I hope to have the "Jet" with us next season as well . but having him on the Southern Tour would have a huge impact on their growth and competition level.

Just wanted to clarify on this a bit, the post I read was by Phil Smith on 11-25-05. In the post he states that Jamie Tomaino is heading south, and will most likely compete on the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour.
