This not a question , but an interesting bit of trivial information fron the Goodyear Racing Tires website.


The "footprint" , or the amount of rubber touching the racing surface , is roughly equivalent to a mens size 11 standard width shoe. The "contact patch" , or amount of rubber touching the track from alll four tires on a Nextel Cup car , is approxiamately one square foot.  


I just thought this was kind of cool .

also the treads are 1/8th of a inch too.............
