The Waterford Speed Bowl? nah, they couldn't close the deal and will remain open.

I am glad it will remain open, just wish they would make things better and have less complaints.

I will see what I can find out about BA's 1st race. Saw him win and son Davey finish 2nd at Daytona in 1988. That was cool but I was pulling for Davey.

His 1st race was in his senior year in HS and he finished 10. I believe it was at Hialiea Speedway in FL near Miami.

His 1st NASCAR Grand National (What is Cup now) race was a Daytona qualifier 2/24/61. Started 29th finished 20 in Car #40.

First real main event Daytona 500 2/26/61 started 36th finished 31st in Car #40

Didn't race NASCAR from '62 till '65. ('61=4 races, '65=8 races & '66=33 races).

First NASCAR GN win came at Oxfordplains Speedway, started on the pole and won being the only car on the lead lap (300 lapper) on 7/12/66 in car #2.
