Junior Miller "King of the Southern Modifieds" now leads Burt Myers by 33 points in the NASCAR Southern Whelen Modified Tour points battle . The Southern Tour will compete in twin 100's today , Labor Day, at the Ace Speedway in North Carolina .
Ted Christopher and Jamie Tomaino of the Northern Tour are schduled to compete in the event as well. Tomaino's son Jamie Tomaino Jr. will also be in competition.
Both races will award points towards the championship , with the finish of the first determining the line-up for the second . These races could go a long way in deciding the first ever NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Champion.
