Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Another great Saturday afternoon down on the Southern Connecticut Shoreline for The Waterford Speedbowl. The tentative racing schedule for the features tonight is as follows:
SK Modifieds
Sportsmen
Whelen Modified Tour
Late Model
Mini Stocks
Of course that schedule is subject to change. We will bring you the results from each of the WSB's regular divisions in this thread as the checkers drop, and be monitoring the progress of the Tour race with the rest of you at the www.modseriesscene.com forum.
Stay tuned as qualifying should have begun, and the SK Modifieds, (as usual when a touring series is in attendance) will lead off the features for the night to clear the pit area for the Tour cars.
We will save you a seat in the stands!

The SK division is heading out onto the track at this very moment, all 23 of them. Not a huge field for a regular night, but a sparce field for the bowl on a night hosting a touring division.
Tony Hirschman continues his domination of the qualifying in the WMT and takes the pole again. They will be redrawing an undetermined number of positions just prior to the main event. Only 30 cars showed up to run in tonight's Big Y sponsored evening and all the cars will start.
SK results up next...

That was a horribly long wait for news on the SK division results and because our eyewitness is in victory lane with his team, so the rest of the finish will come in a few minutes.
Apparently, Tom Fox and Robbie Summers (running first and second respectively) were side by side with five to go, and Tom Fox ended up in the wall. Robbie summers on to the checker. Jeff Pearl was second.
The full finish will be up as soon as the track posts the results.
