Waterford, CT Hudson, New Hampshires Joey Pole Polewarczyk, Jr. earned his sixth career ACT Late Model Tour win in the Nutmeg State 100 at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT on Saturday, August 21. Pole started in the third position and worked his way around Brent Dragon and Waterford regular Jeff Smith to take the lead on lap 31. He would lead the remainder of the 100 lap event.
ACT Tour point leader and defending champion Brian Hoar came from the 12th starting position to take second while Dragon had to settle for third. Smith held on for fourth while Mark Lamberton completed the top five. Jeff Zuidema, rookie Brad Babb, John Donahue, Randy Potter, and Bruce Thomas, Jr. rounded out the top ten.
The Nutmeg State 100 was the tenth event on the 2010 ACT Late Model Tour schedule. It was completed in just over 56 minutes and was slowed by just four cautions.
Next Saturday, August 28 the top eleven drivers from the ACT Late Model Tour will head north of the border to battle the top eleven drivers of its sister series the Série ACT Castrol in the third annual Showdown at Chaudiere at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec.
