Allard Wins Fourth Serie ACT Castrol Edge Event at Riverside
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ACT - 072610
Ste-Croix, QC - St-Feliciens Karl Allard won his fourth Serie ACT Castrol Edge event of the season at Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, QC on Monday, July 26. Allard started in the 10th position and took the lead from Jimmy Cormier after a lap 28 restart. He then held off Patrick Laperle through five more restarts and led the remaining 72 laps.
Laperle had to settle for second while Cormier got back by Donald Theetge late in the race to earn third. Theetge came home fourth followed by Jean-Francois Dery rounding out the top five. Patrick Hamel, Sylvain Lacombe, Max Descoste, Jacques Poulin and Stephane Descoste completed the top ten.
The 100 lap event took just one hour and four minutes and was completed with seven cautions.
Allard has already qualified for the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway set for Saturday, September 18th. He joins Nick Sweet, Eddie MacDonald, Patrick Laperle, Dave Pembroke, Miles Chipman, Brian Hoar, and this past Saturdays (July 24) ACT at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway winner Joey Polewarczyk, Jr.
The Serie ACT Castrol Edge will return to Autodrome St-Eustache for the second time this season on Saturday, July 31 for a 100 lap event.
