Former NASCAR Modified Tour champion Wayne Anderson won the innuagural Tom Baldwin Memorial 77 at Riverhead Raceway . Joseph Hartman was second followed by Bill Park . Baldwin , nicknamed "Tiger Tom" , lost his life in an accident while competing at Thompson Speedway last season . Unfortunately the race was scheduled on the same date as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Seekonk Speedway , so many of Baldwins long time rivals were unable to compete .
