I have to admit that I have become a little hurt with the way people have been contradicting my reports from the track. Not that they ARE contradicting, as that's what a forum is all about, but how they are contradicted. Most of you know that this forum came about becuae there are so many people who have to stay home on race nights, be it with kids, or have to work, or maybe even live to far away to attend weekly. For them we have this forum. I get phone calls from the track and try to accurately report what is going on, but remember I am NOT there, these views come straight from the track and all I do is type them out. If you had two guys sitting next to eachother at the track and asked them seperately the details of an on track altercation, they would give you two different views of the same event. That's what this is all about.

So when you tell us what really happened, maybe you saw it a different way. That is great, we encourage it, and please continue to do so. Just know too, that I cannot retract or "fix" what I originally reported because I was not there.
We have and probably will continue to make a few mistakes, and as last weekend, we actually had a cellphone give up the ghost during the evening events (which has never happened before, so sorry about the legends, SUE!)
Should we continue to do these live reports? Are there people out there who really want to know what happened? Yes, there are. Problem is we started out just doing Stafford, now we have added Waterford and Thompson, and it is very time consuming, and things do arise where we just can't get the information. We do not receive any money to operate or update this forum, Nor do we EVER ask for donations or ever will. But, everyone of our eyewitnessess donates his/her time and cell phone to bringing results to us, as we donate our time during the race to type out this information. So maybe it would be nice instead of attacking these reports, you should add to them.
One of the biggest things that really bothers me is the continued request for full finishes. A full finish is the responsibility of the track, the respective websites, and the sanctioning body. As a courtesy we try to give SK full finishes, because we have so many people in chats from far away, and Mom's, and wives who need to know where their driver finished. Sometimes we can't even get just the SK full finishes because the track doesn't release the lists, or whatever the reasoning may be, it just doesn't get on. We're a LIVE results site, and after the race is over there are many great sites out there that we have mutually friendly relationships with who specialize in those full finishes, and the black and white reporting of an event, and that's the way it will stay.
I appreciate your reading this, and maybe you understand our "point of view" a little better.

But most of all, I personally wish to thank everyone involved in this site, everyone who continues to support us, and especially those volunteers who bring us this information during the races. I will keep paying the hosting bill, and the chat bill and you keep calling in these reports. Don't get discouraged, maybe one day they will appreciate what we do....

Keep up the great work. Remember, there will ALWAYS be someone who can say they would do it better, but put them in that position and they will find it is not as easy as they think. I have been at the track, and am very friendly with the staff and I still had trouble getting results from the tower! You try and write the results down as the race finishes, but usually after a few cars, laps cars get in the middle and you are not sure who is doing what. PLUS the noise factor. As soon as one race is over, they are bring out the next division, with the following division lining up. As the staff calling this over loud speakers (if you are in the pits).
As for someone reporting "what they saw"....I have learned that every person has a different take on what happen. It depends on were you were, weither you were watching as it happen or caught it as it is finishing. As I have found it may also depend on your feelings for any of the people involved.
I find the reporting on here to be top notch. And when someone says this is what is reported, I take all of the above into conseration. I thank you all for keeping this lonely gal in VA up on things at the track, not only for the legends, but also the sk's.
she does alot for you guys and i feel that shes done 1 hell of a good job by providing accerate results..... that is what we are aiming for, to sasify you the fans that check these posts we do in every section on this board, please do not dispute us giving you the results, we are doing the best we can and we try to be 100% accerate.....these fine people take time out of there personal lives and money out of there pockets to build a home for this kind of thing..... for you guys, somewhere to go to seek results for many divsions..... tip of the hat to bratmaster!!!!!!!
