Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
The Waterford Speedbowl is underway with the rescheduled Late Model 50 Lap feature opening up tonight's show. The Late Models will also close the program tonight with a 30 lap regular feature as well.
Tentatively tonight's schedule is as follows:
6:30 pm Late Model 50 Lapper
Mini Stocks
SK Modifieds
Sportsmen
Legends
Late Model (2nd Feature)
There are 22 SK's on hand for tonights event. Apparently, the WMT event has some of the guys that have been running at the WSB. Three qualifying heats were run, and the winners were, Keith Comisky, Curt Lenihan, and Mr. Tommy Fox. One note of interest to some, is the car change of John Bergenti. normally he would be in his own #84 SK, but tonight he will be piloting the Frank Ruocco Earth Technologies #91 SK.
Eric Beers has the pole for tonight's Tour show, but for more information, make sure you check out modeseriesscene.com for LIVE updates from the WMT event. We will try to bring you all the results from tonight's consecutive Waterford show.
Keep watching this thread for podium results from the Bowl,
....going green next time by!

Wow, sound like an exciting last few laps of the Late Model 50! Seems in the closing few laps, Bruce Thomas Jr. Allen Coates, and Mark St. Hilaire were three wide on the back stretch going for the lead, the three tangled, all three spun. When the green was thrown again Coates waited for Thomas Jr., and spun him. Thomas Jr. was given his spot back, and went on to take the checker.
Late Model 50 Lap extra distance feature #1 Top Five finishers:
Bruce Thomas Jr.
Carl Ericsson
Dwayne Noll
Mark St. Hilaire
Scott Garrity
The Minis are underway!

Thank you for the pre-feature information, brat. Without it, I don't know what I'd do.
By the way, do you know that the tour race tonight is being aired via webcast?
sorry I missed your comment Mandy! My fault for trying to multi-task....No I didn't know, do you have details, ie; a link? Thanks so very much, and I don't know what I would do without you.......~brat
What's going on in Waterford? I'm trying to occupy myself by listening to how TC spun around up in Seekonk (YES), but it seems like the SK feature's taking forever.
Congratulations to Shawn Monahan and his whole team and our new friend here at MakingLaps on your SK win at the Speedbowl tonight.
It's too bad that apparently an on track incident detracted from the well deserved win, and carried on into the pit area where Waterford police had to break up the melee'. While I don't know details, and the information I am providing here is heresay, it was from an eyewitness who says that Ronnie Silk and Jay Miller were the two drivers involved, and Silk was attempting an involuntary extraction of Miller from his vehicle after the race. Hopefully, we can get someone who was there to clarify the details. We do know that Jay Miller was disqualified from the feature and Ronnie Silk scored an 8th place finish.
SK Modified Full Finish:
Shawn Monahan
Dennis Gada
Robbie Summers
Keith Comisky
Rob Janovic
Curt Lenihan
Ron Yuhas
Ronnie Silk
Jeff Pearl
Tom Fox
Chris Pastreyak
Ernie Bertran
Diego Monahan
Tony Aniello
Harry Rheaume
Frank Mucciaciaro
Mark Pane
John Bergenti

We will do everything we can to provide you with the podium finishers for the remaining events tonight, the Legends and the 2nd Late Model feature. Due to circumstances beyond our control we have lost communication with the track, but will try to update as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Not good...hopefully you can get the results in. Good job so far! I appreciate it! :)
ok, here is what happened between Jay and Ronnie. with 2 to go Ronnie loosened Jay up, almost causing him to wreck, but he saved it. after the race, Jay drove up and ran into the back of Ronnie, which was the reason for the DQ. it just happend that Jay and Ronnie are pitted next to each other, so they proceeded to get into a war of words over the whole incident.
hey guys - just an FYI - although it was Ed Gertsch Jr's #83 sportsman, the guy driving it to victory lane was Ronnie Oldham. Can't say I know who that was beforehand - but hey, he won.
Thanks so much Pat, not only for the 2nd Late Model finish, but the question about the late models as well. Isn't that Dennis Botticello car really an ACT car? He had been lurking around the front since he brought the thing down there, always been fast.
good solid finish last night for you Pat!

Thomas, Coates, and St. Hilaire WEREN'T 3 wide. Thomas was behind the two coming out of turn 2 when St. Hilaire tried going high around Coates, and when Coates went high, because he was more worried about where Bruce was instead of holding his line, he hit St. Hilaire, and they both tangled and Thomas went down low, taking over the lead. So Coates, being the jerk that he is, sat in the infield, waiting for Thomas to come out of turn 4, when Thomas tried slowing down and going as high as he could when Coates drove him up the turn 1 wall. The caution before Coates had the chance to spin him, therefore giving Thomas the lead back. It was good that Coates gor dq'ed because if that was anybody else, they wouldn't have been able to race the second feature.
I just saw the full finishes from the night last night, and if you stood next to me, you'd think I just saw a ghost. Has anyone seen the full finishes yet?
what do you mean Mandy? You know we only give the full finish on the SK's and that was in this LIVE thread right after the checker....
Thanks anonymous, for your detailed description of what went on in the closing laps of the 1st Late Model feature last Saturday night. I really try to transcribe what I hear on a cellphone (with cars drowning it out) onto these posts as accurately as possible, but I can only report what I hear. Thanks to people like you who take the time to accurately add to, or dispute the views, we can figure out what really happened.
Wouldn't have attacked the other driver's character though!
