Rumor has it that a certain fan is going to put up 500 extra bucks to the winner of the race.. And another 500 to the top placing invader from off the Island.
So, if someone like Chris Pasteryak or TC showed up and won, he'd actually take home 1000 extra dollars, above whatever the purse is paying.
Just a way to get the talk going about the fans putting up over 10,000 to the Riverhead Tour Race on July 31. Every driver will get 300 bucks once they qualify, and the winner of the race will get another 2100 in victory lane. With the tracks purse money added in the tour winner will take home at least 5000 bucks. Not bad for a flash race.
I think if they have not run riverhead full time at all in their career then they can be an invader. However i also believe if someone like preece shows up they shouldn't be considered an invader because they won at riverhead already.
