With the looks of this storm, once it lets loose, we can assume there will be no drying the track or resuming action tonight. But, depending on it's speed, and the speed in which they get tonight's show moving, they may get most of the action in. With a field of 24 SK's on hand tonight with the return of Ted Christopher, and intermittent SMS SK competitor Glen Colvin, the SK's are ready to go.
And don't forget tonight is the LAte Model 100 Lapper!
We will open the SMS chatroom tonight at aproximately 8:30pm, where you will have instant access to all the feature podium results, and chat about them with other race fans. We have driver's wives on hand who can't get to the track, as well as racefans from all over the USA, who used to access the SMS live streaming video. Join us tonight, just click the link, click on guest, and type in a nickname to join the fun!
Well, it's Friday night. But I'm camping upstairs for tonight and tonight only. As you can tell, I'm not at tonight's events. My mom's radioactive and can't be too close with anyone. So I hope to be in the chat room.
Rain has yet to hit Stafford, but with impending doom as far as weather goes, management has moved around tonight's schedule of events and the Sk's will be going out second instead of the planned third after the Late Model 100.
The Limited Late Models have run their feature and sadly enough Andrew Durand was leading with 2 to go when his motor blew.
Limited Late Model Podium Finish:
Michael Bennett
Ed Charette
Michael Nadeau
The Sk's are taking the track now to run their 40 lap feature event and if the rain stays away the Late Models will run their 100 Lap event and the Dare will be last.

The worst has happened, they didn't finish the SK feature before it started to rain. 10 laps into the SK feature event tonight, with Kenny Horton leading it started to rain. There was no hesitation whatsoever by management to cancel the show immediately, and insist that the spectators leave the granstands due to the severity of the storm. They did say however, that the race would be made up but no date has been given as of yet.
We will have a live chat from SMS begining with the first checkerd flag on Sunday for the recscheduled Haynes 150 astarting at 4:00pm.
See you then, the checker has dropped.....
....................... and we will save you a seat in the stands!

Just a quick side note: Jay Stuart was not on hand to run the #48 Late Model of Pat Krenschman, Craig Collins was going to run it in the 100 Lapper. Be surprised to see who will take the wheel in the make up race. They would have to start scratch if Stuart does run it due to Collins qualifying the car.
The SK portion of next week's event will include not only the regularly scheduled 40 lap event, but they will also run the 30 laps leftover from tonight with Kenny Horton taking the green from the point. Not sure about the Late Model makeup yet...
Have a great holday weekend all....
