BURLINGTON, VT -- Thunder Road's Allen Lumber Street Stock division is joining the ACT Late Models and Tiger Sportsmen on the road ni 2005 according to an announcement at a press conference Tuesday, June 28 in Burlington, VT. ACT President Rom Curley revealed the third and final stop on the recently revealed Street Stock Triple Crown as New Hampshire's Lee USA Speedway, a one-third mile paved oval. "The Street Stock Triple Crown, which is being re-introduced after a several year hiatus, will be comprised of races at Canaan Fair Speedway, the Ferguson Waterworks 30 held last Sunday, the M&M Beverage 50 at Thunder Road on Sunday, July 31 and the REMAX event on Sunday, September 25 at Lee USA Speedway," Curley said. "The division had a hugely successful race last Sunday and taking them to Lee to participate in the ACT Tour's ACTion Super Series event is a a reward for those teams." He continued, "We're posting a $3,500 season-ending point fund to be awarded to ACT legal Street Stock competitors who participate in the three races." Thunder Road's Allen Lumber Street Stocks, which are some 40 strong, are 4-cylinder, American-made cars. The division also has a "Research and Development" car being driven be defending Champion, Joe Small and powered by an alternative fuel mixture of ethanol and gasoline.
