WOW!!! I had to think twice when I typed that headline, hard to believe 2010 is here. With that said let's get into the first "JUST MY THOUGHTS" of the new year. 

1.  IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BE A MODIFIED FAN - I can not remember a time in my many years of Modified chasing that I was so excited about an upcoming season. Tour Type Modifeds are once again EVERYWHERE. All three CT. tracks have Tour Type Modified events in 2010 and better yet, MORE THAN ONE. PLUS Modifieds are racing at LIME ROCK PARK. In my home state of NY I can go to Oswego, Spencer, Dunn Tire, Riverhead, Airborne, Shangri-La 2, Chemung, and even ALBANY-SARATOGA and see Tour Type Modified events. Want to go to Maine?, well they are at Beech Ridge. New Hampshire, well you have the best races anywhere from any division to look forward to there. Plus the Whelen Tour is going back to Monadnock in 2010 and the MRS is there and Twin-State. Massachusetts, go to Seekonk. Vermont, got you covered at Thunder Road. New Jersey? You have Wall Stadium. Want to go South? Ok, how about Bowman-Gray Stadium, Greenville-Pickens, Lanier, Caraway, and Concord. Or maybe you prefer ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY, BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY, MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY or CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY. Plus you can spend nine nights in Florida at New Smyrna. I know I forgot some tracks but you get my point. Plus you have the Tour Type Shootouts at Thompson. Monadnock has a Tour Type division also, as does Wall Stadium. You can pretty well find a Tour Type Modified event nearly every week from February to November in 2010. Now if we get the TV deal that is RUMORED there will be 10 races on National Television for the Whelen Tour. Cup drivers are running races, Cup Team Owners are now owning Modifieds. And The History Cannel is filming at reality show at Bowman-Gray. To mee this is HEAVEN. 

2. RUMORS - Oh how I love RUMORS. They are what make the off season so interesting. Plenty of good ones are, or have circulated. It will definitely be interesting to see how they all play out.
