Tracks - 11/2/09
Riverhead Raceway promoters Barbara & Jim Cromarty announced recently that Verizon Fios 1 Sports will indeed return for the 2010 season at the famed quarter mile oval and in fact expand their broadcast schedule to weekly races for the new season that opens in May.
During the 2009 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and Enduro races Verizon was taping events for broadcast on Wednesday of the following week, with a repeat on Fridays. The Riverhead Raceway races became so popular with Verizon Fios executives and viewers that the decision was made to expand to a weekly format for 2010.
