ARCARacing.com has reported that Bobby Jones, who was a winning car owner/crew chief and fielded cars as a team owner in the ARCA RE/MAX Series for over 20 years, died Wednesday, October 21st on Amelia Island, Florida. He was 62,.
Jones was a winning manager and crew chief in everything from SCCA Trans-Am to the NASCAR Cup Series to NHRA Drag Racing. He then went on to start his own #50 team, which won multiple ARCA races. Jones' drivers through the years included Mickey Gibbs, Page Jones, Chase Miller, Greg Sacks, Patrick Sheltra and T.J. Bell.
