Im not a Lia fan but you have to congradulate them on their championship.They did what they had to do when the chips were down,so congrats to the whole 4 team for their efforts.Teddy swoed how to win the race so congrats to them too!I have to say that the performance of the day has to go to Preece in the 3 .He got dumped by the 2 on what lap 6?.They way he maintained his focus is beyond me.He drove back through the field and finished second.Gee Donny he did it in a way that he didn't spin anybody out or wreck anyone . This race really showed how he has matured as a driver this yearand he will win his share of championships in his career thats for sure.I really don't like to bash drivers but what segedy did dumping the 3 on lap 6 was totally uncalled for.What was he thinking?What a clown I used to think that he was a decent driver,boy was I wrong.I guess maybe things like this are the reason that all the rumors have him selling hotdogs at the concession stand at the races instead of competing in the races.I;m sorry that I have to Bash someone like that but in this case I really think he deservrs what he gets on this one.
This is the first time I have EVER seen or heard Todd dumping anyone. And I am a big Ryan fan also, but didn't he turn Todd around for a win and get D.Q.ed for it? I'm going to give Todd a pass on this one, everyone should get one. Plus I'm not to sure it was that cut and dry.

Well I was at Thompson Sunday Szegedy dumped him and it was really cut and dried .As a matter of fact the whiny little sissy went over to the 3 in the pits after the race trying to apologize and they told him to leave and they didn;t want to hear it.I have lost all respect for him after yesterday.He must be frustrated though after all the 2 is one of the better funded teams on the tour and to go the hole season without a win ,OUCH!Talk about spending alot of money and having really nothing to show for it.
Todd did win a champoinship but he was disquallified in the very first race of the next season with the same car ,how interisting is that .his champoinship was really tainted in my opinion.The car just never seamed to run as good as it did during the champioship season,Wonder why?Just like Bert Myers last year at Martinsville hasn.t won a race since.Wonder why?JMO
Gotta agree, I was sitting right where Szegedy punted the #3. I don't know what the hell he was thinking. Lap 7 of 150 lap race, and take out one of the guys running for the championship ?????. No wonder rumors have him out of the #2 next season. I even saw some notorious blocking type drivers race Lia and Preece prettty clean throughout the race. I listened in on the radio, and I can tell you the #3 guys were none to happy.

Hey Dude you forgot to include Matt Hirschman. he can't even get a ride on the Tour because of the way he acts.
And I disagree with many of the SO CALLED Never were's or whatever you may call them. Erick Rudolph not going anywhere? Did he not become the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours' youngest winner this season? If not for rain and low car counts Rocco would be a National Champion. Matt may not have a Tour ride, BUT he certainly did not forget about winning now did he ? Coby, Cravenho and Hossfeld may have never been Champions BUT they have been competitive at times.
And Burt may not have won since the Martinsville event, BUT he has made it to the Truck Series.

Matt can't get a ride b/c of the way he acts? This because a certain ex-car owner says so? Why don't you look into this some, and look at the track record as far as relationships in that person's past-he doesn't have very many nice things to say about anyone he has dealt with in the past. Talk to the people who really know Matt, whether it be his fellow competitors, the fans, people he deals with & helps out through the family speed shop, teams he has worked with in the past (like the Kehleys), officials, etc. Now look at his results, race finishes, points finishes, and track record for racing clean & bringing the car home in one piece. He is one of the best & most respected talents on the Tour, & will show that again when the right opportunity comes along. Don't let a disgruntled ex-owner overshadow what is a great talent, great person, & a great supporter of modified racing in general.
I know ryan wasnt upset. Everyone gets hot headed at moments. But everyone, you gotta remember. Just because your racing for a championship, doesnt mean they are gonna let the guys lead the race. There all racing out there. Racing is racing, you are there to win the race. Thats the way its been. I know Ryan knows that, because its like he said in his interview, he wants to win races. Thats a true racer and a true Team
Funny how words get mixed up from the pits to the pigons in the bleachers. Until you hear the words come out of Mike Smigs. mouth that Todd is out of the #2, don't take anything to the bank. Stick to the beer line junior, leave the big decision's to the pro's!
I agree. People speculating on where drivers will be next year is one thing, but writing that someone is going to be kicked out of a ride because they are not a fan is a little weak. Bashing the #2 for not getting a win is weak also. Quoting a #28/Woody fan "with only 13 races this year, wins will be far and few begin" that also goes for the #2.
First off a statement that not winning a race this year by the 2 was weak Ha.When you spend the money that they spend you are expected to win and they didn.t.That shows that either the team or the driver is missing somethingand stats don,t lie.Just remember this is one of the toughest series to win in so if your team has a Weaknest it shows up just like it does with the 2.As far as racing is racing that is true but dumping someone is just dumping someone too.As far as whos losing their ride and whos going where is anybodys guess.Alls you have here is a bunch of people talking just to talk,blowing smoke as they say. The drivers and owners don,t really know what is going to happen yet.How the heck are the bleacher pigeons who most don,t really have even the slightest inclination of what really makes the tour tick supposed to know.(Bleacher pigeons,I like that quote)Its just a matter of time before we really know whats going on,all in due time,allin due time.If you really have info and I mean good info like stand up in the court of law info please post it.There are many that will really like to hear about it thats for sure.However if all is just speculation or just wishful thinking don,t waste our time pleez.

With that said something that came to my attention is that with two races remaining in 2009, Todd Szegedy still had a chance of claiming the Title. Does not seem to be a "Never Was" or "Lack of Potential" in my opinion.

As far as Bert Myers in the truck series the ride he had was a rent a ride .It has had numerous drivers this year.All you have to do is show up with driving speriance of some kind and Mr. Green and the ride is yours.Just ask Dony Lia how the truck series works and he'll take you the same thing.Bring Mr Green and lots of it and you'll have a ride.Mr. Green meaning money not the short fat bald guy that lives next door either.JMOP

made it to the truck series .....are you kidding me ...i have never raced a lap anmd i could buy that ride in the trucks they may have been competitive but never made it big
