In an article by Larry Mattingly posted at speednet.com it was announced that four Nascar Whelen Modified Tour drivers participated in a Hosier Tire test at Jennerstown Speedway . Tony and Matt Hirschman , Jerry Marquis , and Steve Whitt , all tested in preparation for the upcoming Wheler 150 . Acccording to Hoosier Tires Irish Saunders , the track surface has so much grip , it produces a great deal of hjeat in the right rear . Hooiser is going to design a special tire for this race .A second test is scheduled for June 7th .
The Nascar Whelen Modified Tour Wheler 150 is scheduled for July 9th .
