PASS Back on American Racer Tires For Entire Season
PASS - 3/10/09
It was reported on Tuesday night's Speed 51 Radio show that the PASS North and South Super Late Model tours will use American Racers and not Goodyears for the entire 2009 season. Goodyear had been announced as the new tire choice for PASS this year and they developed a new tire for the series. But there was not enough time to develop the tire properly before the season starts and the old standby American Racers were brought back.
The Goodyears were tested at Hickory last week and at Dillon Motor Speedway this week. Preston Peltier was involved with the Dillon test and reported that there was delamination on the edge of the Goodyears and wear issues as well.
