Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
I have been saving this stumper for awhile. The Waterford Speedbowl opened in 1951, and the first ever race run, was won by Bob Swift. But for the first 3 weeks, the track's surface was crushed stone. Because of complaints from spectator's, after the first 3 races they paved the track. So the question is, what driver won the first race on the asphalt surface?
Anon, it just proves once again that I cant stump you guys and gals!! You are 100% correct, Stu Hellburg was the first winner on the asphalt surface at Waterford!!
