We need your opinion......

Hey all, we are looking for both members and anon's opinions on whether we should stick with our current policy of allowing anons to post, or whether we should consider going to registered members only being allowed to post.

This is a poll that we encourage everyone to share their opinion on.  Anon's, all though you can't actually vote on the poll you can post a reply in this thread simply stating yes, no, or no opinion.

Yes.  You could always make it so that people have to register, but don't have their names public.  So, the mods know who they are.  Or you could go with the way others do it, where people's names are viewable by other registered members.

The Moderators know who you are by your ISP.

I also think you should have to register.
I was blamed for posting once as Matt Hirschman once here by a moderator who must not have known how to read the ISP because it wasn't me.

This is a great site.
But some of us get carried away now and then.

Anonymous people should not be allowed to post.  This is how it is on all other web message boards.  I am new to this site, and enjoy it but I think folks who would like to make inflammatory comments about any driver(s) should put their name down next to it.  Also, no close friends of mine nor me myself have been the subjecto of these remarks. JMO....

If you want a registered member only site, go to the Chrome Horn. I find it puzzling that the previous 3 Annon's want a registered only site when they are posting as anons! Nothing stopping them from login on as members right now. I think you should allow anonymous posts, because you may be able to learn more inside info on different subjects. Even though I am no longer around the tour these days, I still retain many contacts and friendships with fellow drivers and car owners. When I see posts that are BS or a little off, I like posting an informed reply as anonymous so I do not step on any toes.
I know some of the anon postings get old,  especially the anon postings about the 28 but you got to take it for what it is... a few skirts bitching. Do not let a little bit of ignorance ruin it for the rest of the anons.

Yes, but you can still register and when you want to post something you may not want everyone to know who the source is you can just log in as an anon.
