A wacky finish for the trucks, with Bobby Labonte almost beating Ron Hornaday at the checker. Hopefully, Rick Crawford will only be a little sore from a hard crash with only 5 to go, too bad after almost dominating and leading the most laps. Lots of the favorites had trouble early in the race, Shane Hmiel, Todd Bodine and Steve Park to mention a few.

Poor Steve, after his win in California, and being sixth in the points, engine woes took him out early and relegated him into the 16th points position after Atlanta! A 10 position drop, wow...
