dBcom Race Time Transmitters are to be purchased from the Modified Racing Series for $250.00. If you currently own a dBcom Race Time Transmitter you are not required to purchase a new one. You may utilize your transmitter by registering the transmitter number with the Series and paying a one time registration fee of $100.00.
Transmitters are powered by a single 9 volt battery. It is not required but recommended that all teams install a dBcom hardwire kit which may be purchased separately from the Series for $10.00 each.
The Series requires that ALL transmitters are mounted as follows:
Fabricate a sheet of Lexan ¼” thick, 5” long and 3¼” wide.
Use 3/16” rivets or bolts to mount Lexan to the right front roll cage vent window bar. Transmitter numbers are to be facing the outside of the track. The Lexan and transmitter are to be mounted 2” above the top of the door.
