Hearing that Tec Christopher might run at the Speedbowl in 2009 in one of his own potent #13 cars in an attempt to make a run at the National Championship.
TC bought the #29 that James Civali traded to Ronnie Silk for his Tour Modified. That car was all tricked out by James's father Joe and powered by a Larry's Experimental Motor. James won some big races with that car, and I believe Silk won some races with it also. It still has the Larry's motor in it.
Silk did indeed win with the car. When TC bought the car he put the Larry's engine in his primary car and won the championship with it. For 2008 he put the former Civali and Silk car together and ran it full time at SMS. As for the Larry's engine his engine builder rebuilt it for this season so who knows how much of the experimental stuff is still in it. Rumor has it he will run the Spec engine in the Stafford car and this engine at the Bowl. Stull insure which car he will run where, as he has run both the Voight and Civali cars in the last 2 years.
HERE GOES THE SPEEDBOWL THIS YEAR IF TEDDY CHRISTOPHER COME BACK TO RACE THERE BECAUSE I KNOW ALOT OF THESE MODIFIEDS DRIVERS WHO ARE MY FRIENDS WON'T PUT UP WITH HIM ROUGH RIDING AT ALL.I AM ON MYU FRIEND WENDELL DAILEY PIT CREW AND BILL BENOIT PIT CREW.MY FRIEND WENDELL DRIVE NUMBER 66 AND MY FRIEND BILL BENIOT DRIVE NUMBER 0 IN THE MODIFIEDS AT THE SPEEDBOWL.
Teddy has cleaned up his act quite a bit in the past few years. He will put fannies in the seats at the Bowl. I was never a big TC fan, but IMHO he is the best Modified driver right now.
