Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
This driver raced at the Waterford Speedbowl in the 60's, was a 4 time track champion between the Modified, and old Bomber classes with close to 50 feature event wins as well. His career unfortunatley was cut short in the late 60's, by injuries due to an accident at the Seekonk Speedway. Can you name him?
That's an easy one for me because he was my very first favorite driver when I started going to the Bowl in 19XX (that's my secret. I was real, real young ). It's Newt Palm.
DebL, "Mr Lightning" Newt Palm was one of the most popular drivers ever to turn a wheel at Waterford. Unfortunatley, his short and promising career was cut short due to injury or who knows what he could have accomplished. The stats that I listed as part of the question were basically accomplished in a ten year or less span, pretty impressive.
