Ron Varney told Speed51.com at the recent PRI show that the sanctioning body will most likely be revamping the 2009 schedules that the series put out last month. After much response from competitors, Varney told us the old format of three distinctively different series (ASA Challenge, North and South) will return in 2009.
It had been announced that ASA Late Models would opt for more of a Pro Cup style schedule where the North and South divisions race in regular season, then combine at the end of the year for a five-race Challenge Series. More details are to follow in the coming days. (12-16-08)
