Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Yeley to the #00 at Martinsville? hearing that J.J. Yeley could be running the #00 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota next week at Martinsville Speedway.(10-10-2008)
MWR said they are going to put different drivers in the 00 to try and get the car into the top 35 in points, who would you put in the car for Martinsville if you where the car owner??? My pick would be Ricky Craven, I know he has not been in a car in awhile but with the drivers available I think he would be a good pick. Any other ideas??
Craven would be an interesting pick for sure JK. I have to wonder if Yeley would be a good choice he has had some good opurtunitys and hasn't showed much.
Two canidates with Cup experience and who have very good avg finishes at Martinsville in the truck series would be Mike Skinner and Todd Bodine.
Then of course you have Kenny Wallace who has two career Cup top fives and a NWS win at Martinsville.
you could actually put joey lagono in the car..... i dont think hes reached his 7 starts yet..........
craven would be a good choice but you know that the owners dont want veterns......... they want the no racing fools that are barely out of highschool.....
I just read that Mike Bliss will be driving the 00 at Martinsville, OWR I agree on the idea of Skinner, Bodine and Wallace. In the situation that the 00 is in I would rather have a veteran driver to gain points than a young gun who may go fast ,but there is a better chance for a bent race car ( ie.AJ allmendinger )
