Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
It's been a while since I have done one, so here goes.
1. ROUGH DRIVING - Anyone who has followed NASCAR Modified racing knows the sport can be dangerous, even deadly. I applaud the NASCAR Tour Officials for taking action.
2. GLEN REEN - Jumping to the NASCAR Whelen Modifed Tour from any type of Modified Division is TOUGH, to do so from the SK Lights is even tougher. To do it with the success that Glen is having, to me, is absolutely AMAZING.
3. MATT HIRSCHMAN - I have known and followed Matt for a LONG time. The apple definitely did not fall far from the tree in his case. But we also need to remember how involved he was in his fathers Championship days. With his knowledge and driving skills it was only a matter of time before he started winning BIG. Several late season victories, RoC Tour wins, and now a Whelen Tour victory later Matt has now caught the eye of Evernham. I think Matt will be the Tour's next driver to move on to the big leagues.
4. COVERAGE BY NASCAR - For SEVERAL years, I sent E-Mails to anyone I could at NASCAR complaining about their lack of coverage for the Tours. No Entry Lists, no Qualifying Results, Race Results sometimes a week later. FINALLY, it appears that they listened as this season their coverage is AMAZING. It's about time!!!!
Well that's about it for now. Agree or not, I'd like to hear what you think.
