Barre, VT – Hannaford Markets and Pelletier & Son Quick Lube have reached an agreement to present the Thursday, June 2 race event at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl. The 2005 season marks the second year of involvement for Pelletier & Son Quick Lube, while Hannaford has been in association with Thunder Road since 2001.
The June 2 “Hannaford Markets/Pelletier & Son Quick Lube Night” card will kick off Thunder Road’s 46th annual summer Thursday night schedule, and includes the weekly ACT Late Model, NAPA Tiger Sportsman, Allen Lumber Street Stock, and PowerShift Junkyard Warrior divisions.
Hannaford operates more than 140 supermarkets and combination food and drug stores across the Northeastern United States, including 10 in Central Vermont. "Hannaford strives to be part of the communities that we operate in,” said South Barre Hannaford Store Manager Melissa Roberge, “and is proud to support local events at Thunder Road and in Central Vermont." Pelletier & Son Quick Lube is a full-service auto repair station, and has been in operation for over 17 years. “We love supporting Thunder Road and the community of Barre,” said owner Romeo Pelletier. “My wife Linda and I, and our son Donald are very happy to be back at Thunder Road this year.”
