Test at Las Vegas

An upcoming test session for the Nextel Cup Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is expected to draw a large contingent of cars. This of course will be the first real test of the rules changes in a non "super speedway" setting. For a link to the list of teams who plan to attend the test and more info, click on the link below:

I think they are going to draw a large contingent of cars mostly because of the location of the track not just the track itself.  If you've got to be gone from home for a few days wouldn't you prefer to be in Vegas, than say ah.... Michigan?

How many wives who would normally stay home for a test like that make sure they went to Vegas?  Especially when they will be able to wander virtually unnoticed during this off-schedule test, versus the swarming of 150,000 Cup fans into the city?  No appearances, no traffic, etc...you name it.  Whoever had that idea deserves a bonus!  And I mean from the drivers, not the fans.
