Barre, VT – Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl officials are pleased to announce that employee-owned company Kinney Drugs will present “Kinney Drugs Night” for the weekly ACT Late Model, NAPA Tiger Sportsman, Allen Lumber Street Stock, and PowerShift Junkyard Warrior divisions on Thursday, July 7. Kinney Drugs serves the local community with 70 stores throughout New York and Vermont, and celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2003.
Including the sponsorship of ACT Late Model Tour veteran Brent Dragon of Milton, VT, Kinney Drugs has been heavily involved in local motorsports since 1992, and has been associated with ACT and Thunder Road since 1996. The familiar orange racing hats that race fans receive free at Kinney Drugs events will again dot the hillside grandstands at Thunder Road in 2005, marking the tenth season since the beginning of the partnership.
“Kinney Drugs has been affiliated with the motorsports business for many years, and we realize its impact on not only the community, but the importance it plays with local family members of every age,” said Annette Farrell, Marketing Relations Coordinator for Kinney Drugs. “Kinney Drugs is proud to be partnering with Thunder Road to bring a night of great racing action to the local community!”
Among the 70 employee-owned Kinney Drugs stores are twelve locations in Vermont, including one in Barre, Thunder Road’s hometown community for over 45 years.
