Série ACT Castrol Heads to St-Félicien on Saturday, Montmagny Rescheduled

ST-FÉLICIEN, QC The Série ACT Castrol stock car series travels north to Autodrome St-Félicien in St- Félicien, QC for the AUTOPRO 150 on Saturday, July 5 at 6:00pm. The race marks the first time the Castrol cars have visited the scenic Saguenay/Lac St-Jean region in two years. Hometown driver Karl Allard owns a pair of Série ACT Castrol victories at the Autodrome St-Félicien half- mile tri-oval, including the most recent event in July 2006. Allard leads the 2008 Série ACT Castrol point standings after two events with a best finish of third in the Coors Light 100 at Autodrome Chaudière last month. Alexandre Gingras of Val-Bélair, QC, currently fifth in Série ACT Castrol standings, is also a former winner at Autodrome St-Félicien and is expected to be a factor in the AUTOPRO 150. He will be joined by Jean- François Déry, Dany Ouellet, Jacques Poulin, Martin Lacombe, veterans Yvon Bédard and Claude Leclerc, and rookies Patrick Hamel and Spencer MacPherson, along with many others. Racing action begins at 6:00pm on Saturday, July 5. The previously rained-out Montmagny 100 at Autodrome Montmagny Speedway in Montmagny, QC has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 3 at 1:00pm. The Montmagny 100 has been postponed twice by inclement weather, on May 31 and again on June 29.
