I haven't thought about Irwindale Raceway for years. I grew up in CA and it was common to go there, not only on the weekends, but during the week during high school! I even got to drive my boyfriends CHERRY car, a magnificent metallic lime green with rainbow lettering and fire stripes! I've got to dig that pix out - me behind the wheel, helmet and all! GLORY DAYS Infact, it was pretty much this color. It wasn't a GTO, I'll have to dig that one out and refresh my memory - thanks for the stroll down memory lane!
You betcha buddy, we've never personally made it out there, but some of the local guys get invited in the fall and it's televised. I'll let you know. If you can get that pic scanned in I would certainly post it for you.
